Baby Boomers Use Alternative Medicine

According to a recent study conducted at Ohio State University, about 70 percent of the 50 Plus market use alternative medicine. Funded by the National Institute on Aging, Professor Gong-Soog Hong spearheaded a survey that included almost 900 participants aged 50 and above. 65 percent of seniors who described themselves in poor health said they used some form of alternative medicine they considered either curative or preventive–a higher percentage than any other group.

Baby boomers are searching for other ways to alleviate symptoms such as chronic pain and arthritis, as well as utilizing alternative therapies as preventive medicine. Chiropractic care topped the list with a whopping 43% of respondents, while acupuncture came in last.

Last fall, another survey of baby boomers was conducted by Sorelli B, a national research firm. This particular study showed than more than one third of those surveyed said that chiropractic care prevented the need for prescription drugs and physical therapy. The respondents also believed that chiropractic care helped them avoid back surgery and long, grueling, hospital stays. Close to 60 percent of those surveyed stated they would be willing to petition their insurance companies to include chiropractic as a component of their health care plan even though they were willing to pay for those services out-of-pocket.

The other most popular methods of alternative medicine include massage therapy, breathing exercises, herbal medicine and meditation.

The first study looking at alternative medicine use among seniors with depression finds that close to 20 percent are using gingko biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort and other herbal remedies. The surprising findings could cause concern with physicians who treat baby boomers as most patients were unaware of the risks of potential drug interactions.

Helen Kale, M.D., from the University of Michigan says, “The results merit further study and suggest that seniors may have entered the alternative medicine market ina big way, much bigger than we thought.”

Why alternative medicine? Older adults are searching for different kind of treatment to lessen the aches and pains that often come with age. Seniors are reporting problems with daily activities such as carrying groceries, eating or bathing. Moreover, many of them are simply not satisfied with mainstream health care and often have issues with the current state of conventional health care. “Older adults tend to have more chronic illnesses and conventional medicine doesn’t always solve their problems,” says Hong.

In addition, the survey showed that because the treatment of chronic pain is very difficult and demanding, people living in such pain will try everything possible to alleviate it.

According to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the percentage of the 50 plus market who received a massage from a massage therapist in the past five years has almost tripled. Why do baby boomers get massage? For health reasons, according to the survey. Seniors even indicated they seek massage for health reasons (other than stress relief and relaxation) more than any other age group (41 percent).

The least popular practice of alternative medicine surfaced in the U.S. in the 1970s, Acupuncture has gained acceptance as an alternative to traditional Western medicine for pain relief and for treating a variety of other health conditions. Studies show that baby boomers who sufffer from muscle and bone pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and other ranges of problems, are giving acupuncture a try to lessen their symptoms.

The health-minded baby boomer generation is also exercising. Being physically active is the solution to maintaining the quality of life for adults 50 years and older. 16 million seniors exercise at least three times per week. From 1987 to 1995, the number of 50-plus health club members jumped 199%, and the number of 65-plus who joined health clubs jumped a staggering 669%. According to the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), most active adult communities are responding to this need by including wellness centers within their planned communities. Plus, age-targeted programs have been shown to be quite popular with tremendous benefits to other types of senior housing, fitness facilities and publicly-sponsored community recreation programs.

Interestingly enough, day spas are quickly becoming a hot market for those aged 50 and better. Instead of the usual day spa fare of facials and waxing, now medical spas or MedSpas are cropping up in the market. MedSpas take all the comfort and care of day spas, yet add the latest in medical technology. Mud packs and cucumber slices have been replaced with high-tech advanced fluorescence technology, microdermabrasion, and ultrasound technologies–all designed to help the 50 plus market feel better about their appearance.

Although alternative medicine plays a huge role in the lives of baby boomers, when it comes to health, there is no comparison to preventive measures. The Southeastern Institute of Research found that the 50 plus market say some of the most important things to do to stay healthy are to get enough sleep, drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet. It’s no wonder that life expectancy has increased by 30 years in the past century.

As health care costs continue to rise, baby boomers will continue to seek alternative medicine and transform into “health boomers.” They have defined health care because they’re strong, vocal, and know what they want. Boomers are healthier than any generation of seniors in history and live longer, happier lives.

The Honest Alternative to "Free" Reverse Phone Look Up – No BS – No Hooks – No Recurring Fees

* Prank calls…

* Solicitations…

* Calls you Missed…

* People you never want to hear from…

* Mysterious Numbers on your Partners Cell…

* Unknown charges on your Cellular Provider Bill…

There are many reasons to want to find information about an unknown phone number. The best way to get that info is with a telephone reverse lookup. There are a lot more choices nowadays than there were a few years back. You can get the answers you want in a matter of minutes.

You’ve seen them if you have spent more than an hour looking on the internet. The “Free” search sites. Funny how they always end up at a paid site. Some of them actually work for landlines but for cell numbers they are pretty much useless. You are better off using a low-cost quality service. Make sure it is a reputable company with a decent track record. You also want to be sure that the site you end up using has a large database so that the information you get is accurate.

Most of these reverse phone look up sites will provide a report which will include:

* The name

* The address

* The Service Provider

* and a map to the billing address

Of course there are other reasons than those listed above. Your investigation could be over in minutes or you could spend days searching for that elusive “Free” site. Isn’t your time worth than a few dollars an hour. You know the reason you need this information. Let the service provide you what you need.

Mobile Marketing – The Alternative Marketing Revolution – The Facts

The growth in mobile phone marketing is exploding exponentially upwards with a mobile advertising market numbering over five billion consumers, this is five times the size of the internet market and growing rapidly and yet there is still very little competition in this very lucrative market, due to a lack of knowledge and the necessary skills needed to successfully tap into this once in a life time opportunity. Many internet marketers have come to the realisation that marketing via mobile phones is in the process of superseding the internet and they are quickly educating themselves in the new technologies and processes of mobile marketing so that they don’t get left behind in the rush.

The Evidence is before Your Eyes!

Have you ever noticed that people tend to spend more time chatting on their cell phones and surfing the mobile net rather than sitting in front of their PC. It is an established fact that over 5 billion people walk around with a mobile phone – the market is five times larger than the internet. If you are seriously considering getting into mobile marketing, then I must congratulate you; as you will inevitably be getting in on the ground floor of this very lucrative business model; but first you will need to fully digest and understand just how explosive this mobile web marketing revolution really is:

Over 2 million smart phones have recently been sold by Apple while Google have recently released a report showing that over 160,000 Droid smart phones are being activated every single day, 24/7! Although the web is quite literally overrun with advertising, nobody has taken serious note of the alternative that is staring them in the face. There is still very little competition in mobile marketing. This massive market could be yours to fully exploit at will!

The statistics show that over HALF of all new Internet connections are from mobile “smart-phones” over 5 billion mobile phone owners are carrying miniature computers around with them in their pockets or handbags 24 hours a day seven days a week. Furthermore, statistics prove that over 90% of people keep their phones within 3 feet of themselves 24/7. And yet it is a fact that the majority of online marketers simply have no idea how to market to people who aren’t glued to their PC.

The Facts About Mobile Marketing

Do you realise that with mobile advertising your Ad is going to be the ONLY Ad on the Page! For this very reason the conversion rates achieved with mobile marketing completely blow those achieved on internet marketing right out of the water. Imagine just how easy it would be to grab a person’s attention without the distraction of numerous AdWords and flashing banners on the page. YOU are the one and ONLY call to action on the entire page!

With this form of affiliate marketing you do not need to learn any new tricks! ClickBank, CPA and the building of marketing lists work in exactly the same way on mobile as they do on your PC. (But it’s a lot easier to do on mobile)….Once everything is fully implemented and running there is no need to constantly make changes as what works with mobile marketing STAYS working. No constant changes to ‘algorithms’, no ‘spiking keyword bids’…etc…etc..

So What are You Going to Do About It!

It must be perfectly obvious to you by now; that now is the right time to take decisive action if you really want to break into this very lucrative area of mobile web marketing. Nobody has an absolute advantage over you at this present moment in time…but you will need to move very quickly, if you really want to find yourself in the exclusive and enviable position of being able to seize upon the prime assets within the mobile phone advertising market as this web marketing phenomenon explodes right around the globe!

You still have a little time left, but not very much…

The advent of mobile marketing has just begun… history tells us that it is always the early adapters to new technologies that reap the massive rewards on offer. People, who procrastinate and put things off, content to watch from the sidelines, eventually find that they have left it too late, to make any sort of impression. They find that the entire landscape has changed; the goal posts have shifted. They suddenly find themselves faced with insurmountable competition from those who were intelligent enough to jump in at the start. They have been left out in the cold!

Window Moisture Problems? Restoration Is Now A Money Saving Alternative

Window woes can be fixed

How many times have you had to replace windows due to moisture or “sweating” between the panes? Since the 1970’s, dual-pane windows have become the standard for new construction and replacement windows. Homeowners are often surprised to find their window seals failing after just 10 years or less.

Once a window’s seal has failed, it can not only develop unsightly condensation, but it can lose its thermal value, which defeats the purpose of the dual pane glass. Left untreated, you won’t only pay more to heat and cool your home, but they you may have to pay more to fix the problem too. For decades the only solution to this common household issue has been to replace the glass or window, which can be expensive, intrusive and time consuming.

A New Solution

Now there is a fast, effective, on-site process that permanently removes the moisture without replacing the glass and at a fraction of the cost. Sounds too good to be true? The unique process relies on the installation of a small, inconspicuously placed air vent that allows the window to dry through evaporation. The process has been proven and tested for more than a decade and has been utilized to successfully restore hundreds of thousands of windows in the US and Canada.

How the Process Works

A Restoration Technician begins by drilling a small hole in an upper and lower corner of the failed window. Using specialized equipment and solutions, the interior space is cleaned and rinsed. After evacuating the solutions, patent-pending Microvents are installed over the drill holes. Each day, as the air temperature increases, rising air pressure forces the remaining moisture out the Micro-vents leaving the window dry and clear. This permanently restores the visibility and thermal qualities of the window as wet saturated air is replaced with a dry buffer of air between the panes. The cleaning and installation process usually takes only 15-20 minutes for an average window and most windows completely dry out within a 2-3 weeks following the service. The repair is guaranteed to be effective for 10 years.

In today’s competitive home market, a clean home inspection report is more important than ever. It is recommended that homeowners visually inspect their windows at least twice a year to identify problematic windows at the earliest signs of failure. Any hint of vapor or condensation between the panes indicates seal failure and the earlier failed windows are treated, the higher the likelihood they can be fully restored to their original clarity.

Restoration vs. Replacement

Moisture Removal service costs 50% less on average than the cost of installing replacement glass and can save even more compared to full window replacement. While replacement can take a week or more to order and install the glass, restoration is quick and non-intrusive. While the restoration service can be applied to most dual-pane windows, those with tempered glass or with severe staining usually do require replacement.

A Cheap Alternative To Broadband?

Are you a dial-up user looking for a faster connection,

but don’t like Broadband prices? If so, you should take a look at a new service called OnSpeed, which has received rave reviews in Internet technology publications.

What OnSpeed does is to re-route web pages and email via

its own servers, compressing the data on the fly prior to sending it onwards to your PC. A small program then decompresses the data, so that you can view it in the normal way via your browser or email client.

In my own dial-up tests, with a modem running at a nominal

49kb/s I appeared to get speeds close to that of my normal

broadband connection of 598 kb/s – very impressive. Image quality is often reduced but the compression for this can be improved, though with an adverse effect on the speed of course.

Some file types like MP3 also cannot yet be compressed. The

company is working on these issues however and expects to

find solutions soon.

Unfortunately I was unable to use email in my tests, due

to a ‘port’ conflict with a spam filter that I was using. The

standard advice on the OnSpeed site for such cases is to disable the offending program. Not a constructive approach – to say

the least – so I hope that the relevant instructions will be changed soon.

More significantly, the problem persisted even when I

switched off the OnSpeed application on my PC; in the end I had to remove the program to get the spam filter working again. I expect that this fault can be resolved, but clearly there are issues in this area that need to be addressed.

The software is easy to install, and is available for Mac

as well as Windows PCs. On the whole the service is surprisingly

good, and a lot cheaper than broadband. Unlike other ‘speed-up’

techniques that tweak your computer’s settings but result in

little noticeable improvement, OnSpeed really works.

I can recommend OnSpeed for dial-up users who can’t justify the

expense of broadband, or who are not located close enough to a

suitable exchange. OnSpeed is also stated to be great for mobile

or PDA users, as GPRS (wireless) speeds can be boosted by as much

as 8 times. It even helps with broadband if you can only get a

reduced service in your area.

My overall rating is 4/5 – very good, but the email support needs

to be improved.

If you want further details of OnSpeed, please visit http://www.On-Speed.net. There is a 14 day money-back

guarantee, so you can try the service without any risk.

Live In Care: An Economical Home Care Alternative

Home care assistance can be expensive especially when care is needed in 12, 16 or 24 hour shifts. Live-in care is provided to clients who need around the clock assistance and supervision with their personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, oral and skin hygiene, mobility assistance, medication reminder and with housekeeping services such as meal preparation, cleaning of the clients’ homes, feeding the clients and medical escorts to doctor’s appointments.

The live-in rates are priced on a daily basis and the service is best suited for the elderly client who lives alone and wants to live in the comfort of his/her own home. This needed service helps to assure the relatives of the elderly client, that their loved one is being provided and cared for at home. Live-in care can also be provided on a temporary basis, for instance if an otherwise active client needs help at home while recuperating after having surgery.

The caregiver although a “live-in caregiver” still maintains her own residence, where she goes whenever she wants a break or a vacation. Although a great economical alternative, not every client is a live-in candidate. For instance, the client that has dementia or some other ailment that keeps him up at night, will not benefit from this type of service, because the caregiver needs to be alert at all times to care for the needs of the client. In a case like this, the hourly companion service should be offered, so as to maintain the quality of care being provided and also to maintain the good health of the caregiver.

Wellicide: An Alternative to a Painful, Miserable, Hopeless and Expensive Way of Dying

Introduction

Death doesn’t get a lot of attention in wellness circles, except as a warning. Premature death is portrayed as the ultimate risk factor for failing to live wisely, that is, in a manner consistent with wellness ways. (Needless to mention, I hope, is that postponing death is not even close to one of the better reasons for living wisely.)

Few wellness promoters have put a positive spin on death, to my knowledge. Until now. It must not be ignored, for the consequences of doing so can be rather dreadful. So, wellness promoters and everyone else-consider the possibilities of a REAL wellness way to die, when you’re good and ready-and when staying alive options in a decent-enough state are nil. There is, after all, a wellness option, if you plan for it and conditions are right.

Robert Green Ingersoll, at the beginning of his poignant January 9, 1882, Oration at a Child’s Grave, spoke these words:

Why should we fear that which will come to all that is? We cannot tell, we do not know, which is the greatest blessing – life or death. We cannot say that death is not a good.

That idea of death as a good has never caught on. Nobody wants to rush things, but extending life if and when it becomes unbearable or even gruesome with mortal agonies can’t be very appealing.

Now the time has come to expand the scope of REAL wellness to the final act of life, when you, in consultation with medical experts, conclude that no further jewels of joy can be picked up and treasured. Planning your own death is a key element in a new and improved concept of wellness. That is, REAL wellness.

Dying

Many if not most people die after a lingering illness, in a hospital, a hospice or at home after a period of decline and suffering, oftentimes in ways that are difficult, to say the least. The exception is dying unexpectedly from a heart attack or stroke, car or plane crash or other random fashion. For most in relatively peaceful societies, death is slow, gradual and unpleasant. In time, life becomes less and less attractive, joys diminish and miseries increase. Often pain grows worse as the body shuts down, little by little, inexorably, mercilessly.

When the prospects for a worthwhile quality of existence are judged gone forever, by you, a pain-free and peaceful end should be a REAL wellness choice, if desired.

Because of religions, however, this right does not exist, except in a few places on Earth (including all of Canada and six U.S. states and the District of Columbia.) This is largely because, as it does with almost everything else, religion poisons death.

The Heavy Hand of Religion on Dying in America

As with slavery, prohibition, stoning, arranged marriages, blasphemy prosecutions and Sunday blue laws forbidding commerce in general and enjoyment in particular on the Lord’s day, government-enforced strictures blocking right to die options are eroding. In time, bans against doctor-assisted or personally initiated suicide at one’s discretion will be considered benighted and grotesque, similar to the above noted examples of past church meddling in matters of individual choice. But, probably not in time, if you want this prerogative but don’t reside in Oregon, Montana, Colorado, Vermont, California, Washington, the District of Columbia or other U.S. jurisdictions that permit what seems a basic secular right.

Regrettably, those guided by interpretations of revelations, holy books and a variety of dogmas and creeds insist that everyone, believer or not, follow their faith-based beliefs. Only God gets to play god, say religionists like Trump’s gift to the Supreme Court, Neal Gorsuch. The newest justice even wrote a book against choice in dying, citing the Catholic mantra about the inviolability of human life.

Christians insist that their god alone gets to decide when Christians and everyone else are allowed to die. Alas, their god seems to have a nasty habit of allowing if not inflicting long periods of utter misery, torture actually, before getting around to deciding, OK, you can stop suffering now.

Arguments about death in dying, death with dignity, final exit/options are associated in America with church/state conflicts. Absent religions, there would be little or no opposition to choice for when and how to die.

Your Choice

People who have watched a loved one die know why choice in dying is important. To deny a peaceful end of one’s own timing seems a fundamental human right. But, it’s little wonder we’re a death-denying society, given religious fantasies. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. In reading the daily obituaries in the Tampa Bay Times, one might think even those whose pictures appear in the obit pages did not really die. They passed, they went off to be with their Lord and Savior, or they relocated to heaven to live with a loved one lost years ago (who presumably turned up in this imaginary but better place).

For varied opinions on legalizing or forbidding choice in dying, you might find the June 3, 2017 Letters section of the New York Times instructive. The letters refer to a May 28 series entitled, The Death and Life of John Shields.

A healthy lifestyle includes, in addition to wise choices and actions in such areas as exercise and nutrition, managing stress, using reason, seeking exuberance and embracing personal freedoms, a strong sense of personal responsibility for all that affects your life. It seems logical that all who embrace this philosophy for living well will want to apply the same level of self accountability when death approaches, if circumstances allow.

Be well, enjoy life and accept that in time we all must die. In America, we should have the right to decide, if circumstances permit, how and when we end.

Rubbish Removal Services – The Cheaper Alternative to Skip Hire

Getting rid of a large pile of junk ensures a pleasing environment. Regular rubbish removal keeps your premises attractive and beautiful. Apart from keeping your premises neat and clean, routine rubbish removal ensures some other positive issues related to environment and health. It can make your surroundings aesthetically appealing. You stay far from the attacks of various germs. As junk removal is an important factor of life, we should get it done regularly. Getting a routine junk removal service is always good.

There are some rubbish removal options available in the market. Normal rubbish clearance service and skip hire are the two popular options. But as the statics say, many people like to choose a junk removal company as it is cheaper than a skip hire. Skip hire is costlier than normal junk removal service. The reason may be its huge infrastructure, state of the art equipments and approval by the local council. The companies belong to this category keep a fleet of vehicles and waste containers. This service is ideal for huge industrial and commercial cleaning. Generally, common and household people have nothing to do with skip hire. If you are a normal homeowner, you can choose a scrap removal service to keep your premises clean and hygienic at an affordable rate. Nowadays, rubbish removal service has become a cheaper alternative to skip hire.

Keeping pace with the modern complex demands, junk removal companies are arranging and rearranging their infrastructures with modern equipments and other necessary things. They are gradually increasing their market-share by occupying the share of the skip companies. Most of these companies carry valid licenses as the yardstick of their quality service and complete client satisfaction. They are proficient in dealing with any type of domestic or commercial rubbish. They can easily clean any commercial, industrial and domestic rubbish without complicating them and increasing the cost of it to any degree. Scrap removal companies are emerging as a very good alternative to skip hire.

On the other hand, skip processes charge more for using skip bags and bringing waste containers for the removal of junk. Apart from these two important reasons, skip processes require permits from their local councils. The arrangement of the process is controlled parking rules. Companies are to maintain a decorum and standard. Else, there is a chance of cancellation and suspension of permits. Consequently, skip processes become more expensive. Now rubbish removal services are the cheaper alternative to skip hire.

The Affordable Alternative to Traditional Individual Health Insurance

As a way to begin let’s define what I mean by traditional health insurance. The traditional health insurance policy is composed of:

The deductible – This is the amount that you have to pay for a medical event before your health insurance will start to pay. In today’s world that deductible is often $3000 or more.

The coinsurance – After the deductible is met most policies require that the insured pay a percentage of all medical costs up to a maximum. Usually the insured pays anywhere from 20% to as much as 50% of every dollar billed.

The copays – In an attempt to make routine health care accessible many policies include a copay for doctor visits and prescriptions in lieu of having to meet a deductible. An example of this is the $10 office visit copay.

Maximum Out-Of-Pocket Costs – This is the most that an insured can expect to pay regardless of how large the medical bills are. As a general rule the maximum out-of-pocket costs for an individual are limited to around $7000. This can be a very misleading number because it assumes that all of your providers are in your network. If they are out of network your costs can be significantly higher.

And finally the “Network” – Virtually every traditional individual health insurance policy is tied to a network of providers. The narrower the healthcare network, the lower the premium. There is too much wrong with “networks” for this article. Suffice it to say that “networks” are the enemy of the healthcare consumer (you).

The Problem Facing Working Americans

The problem is simple: health insurance premiums are too high for most working Americans in the absence of a subsidy and when combined with extremely high deductible and out of pocket costs, healthcare becomes unaffordable. Let’s look at a couple of examples right here in North Carolina.

A non-smoking couple ages 62 and 63 find that their lowest premium option with BCBS of NC is $1999 a month for a $13,300 family deductible with no copays. A plan with a $7000 deductible and $25 office visit copays would cost $2682 per month.

Assuming the least expensive plan the annual cost would be $23,988 annually. And if either person had a medical event such as cancer, the actual cost for healthcare would be $37,288. You have to ask: “Why even have health insurance?”

A non-smoking 30 year old couple found that the least expensive plan would cost $787.84 a month for a $13,300 family deductible with no copays. The least expensive plan that included copays was $1056.88 but had a $7000 deductible and the most restrictive network. Assuming the least expensive plan, should either member of this young couple have a medical event their total annual cost (deductible + premium) would be $16,454.08. That is a devastating amount of money for a young couple.

The simple solution to this problem is a Fixed Benefit Health Insurance. Unlike a major medical policy where the policy pays for all eligible expenses after the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum, a Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy states exactly how much will be paid for each specified service. Examples of specified services might include: daily benefit for in-hospital stay of 24 hours, specific dollar benefits for specified surgeries, a specific benefit for doctor visits and other specified charges. A great Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy will have very robust benefits, a wide range of specified covered charges, a very comprehensive surgical schedule and more. The most important service that Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy can include is medical bill negotiation, a service that can significantly reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

What is really great about this type of policy is that empowers the insured to be a better consumer. Knowing how much your policy will pay you for a specified medical service allows you to better shop and negotiate the price. But the really great thing about this policy is the affordable premium.

The couple ages 62 and 63 are an actual client of mine who had been uninsured for 5 years as a result of the high premiums. I was able to put them into a robust Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy with a $5,000,000 lifetime benefit for $683 a month. That is an annual savings of $15,792. As I explained to my client the Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy will do a great job of covering 70% to 80% of everything that can happen. If they actually saved the $15,792 difference in premium they would have incredible access to healthcare with very little out of their own pocket.

Back in 2014 I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had a partial removal of large intestine (CP44205). Back then I was covered on a traditional major medical policy. My total out-of-pocket costs were more than $7000. Had I had the Fixed Benefit Plan that I sell today not only would my costs have been zero but I would have received a check from the insurance company for $4619. Not every medical event would have resulted in a check and many might have resulted in out-of-pocket costs of several thousand dollars, but in general the savings would have more than offset those costs.

So, before you choose to go without any health insurance I strongly suggest that you take a hard look at a Fixed Benefit Health Insurance Policy.

Reasons Why IPTV Is a Highly Effective Alternative to Normal TV

About IPTV

IPTV is an alternative to a conventional television and other multimedia services. It is called an internet protocol TV as it works by using the internet networks of a place and the multimedia data is delivered to the device through internet protocol address.

It is slowly replacing television services which use satellite signals and cable formats to deliver channels, as it can simply use local network for delivering channels and various programs on any device like TV, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and computers. It is highly popular because it can show live television as well as one can request programs and videos from the list and watch them anytime one wants.

One needs to find a paid IPTV service provider who will then set up a set-top box connected to one’s network, and then one can simply watch their favorite programs or movies uninterruptedly without any hassle.

There are some features that make the IPTV very popular and a very strong competitor against usual cable TVs and they are discussed below.

On-demand content

This is one of the most useful features of getting an IPTV subscription, that is, one can watch whatever one wants without having to wait for the TV schedule and timings. Here, one can watch the programs and movies of their choice by just choosing it from the playlist that is made available by the service providers, which means one will not have to watch the next episode or miss any program because one was busy. This feature makes the entire experience more easy and convenient.

Huge pool of content

When one is subscribed to a conventional television plan through cable connectivity, then one gets only a fixed set of channels and thus keeping the content availability limited. However, IPTV providers make sure that their customers are availed with a wide variety of shows which can be watched both live or later on demand. Also, unlike TV, one is not restricted only to watch programs at a particular time as one can watch them anytime. One can also watch international content from around the world without any extra charges.

Compatibility with devices

IPTV is not bound to television only like a normal TV network. One can use IPTV on any device of choice which means there can be various viewing points too, as one will not have to sit in front of their television to watch any program. One can use any device which can connect to internet network like computers or phones from any location wherever there is the internet.

Easy subscriptions

Like television cable networks who make their subscribers sign long term contracts which are usually expensive, with IPTV, one only pays for what one wants to watch and usually they have easy and flexible subscription plans. One can personalize their plans and also can use it the way one wants by watching on multiple devices without having to pay too high subscription price.
